I am a Clinical Therapist based in the Greater Toronto area. I was born and raised in Toronto. I completed my Masters in Professional Counselling at Liberty University, and have a certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
As an effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, I enjoy listening to others, developing a therapeutic rapport, and providing support and encouragement to those in need.
I utilize a unique combination of interpersonal psychotherapy and cognitive behavioural techniques, which helps me to identify my client’s challenges and implement meaningful and evidence-based treatment solutions.
Being in a multicultural destination like Toronto affords me the privilege of working with diverse clients from every walk of life. As a parent, youth mentor and professional mental health clinician, I have a smart, deep and practical view of the problems people are facing in modern-day times, with regards to their professional and personal life.
Whether it is depression due to work and career challenges, or death of a close friend or family member, I can help you through emotional distress due to life transitions, separation, addiction, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, hyperactivity, sex addiction, loss of job, or any other issues that are negatively affecting your mental health and quality of life.
My experiences include treatment solution development for both men, women and children, with a directed focus on issues surrounding depression, anxiety, poor communication, motor vehicle mental trauma and physical abuse. I have experience facilitating motivational and therapeutic discussion groups, and public speaking.
I provide marriage counselling, anger management, intensive support and supervision to youth involved in the criminal justice system. My practice has allowed me to examine client issues including substance abuse, sexual or physical abuse, bullying, depression, relationships, self-image, stress, truancy and suicide.
If you want to talk through a few things, let’s book some time to sit down and speak. I am happy to help you.
I identify as a first-generation Canadian with a rich and colourful West Indian heritage. I am a wife and parent of two adult ladies in university. I enjoy working out, singing and remain very active in community programs at my local church.
